- Success of the Diagnosis (Diagnoza) series at AFO Olomouc 2004
The following documentary films from the Diagnosis (Diagnoza) series received the Grand Prix in the category of Scientific and Popular Science Programme at the 39th AFO 2004 International Film Festival in Olomouc: Acute Myocardial Infarction / Fighting Off Death (Akutni infarkt myokardu / Jak se plasi smrt), Alzheimer's Disease / Journey to the Land of Oblivion (Alzheimerova nemoc / Cesta do krajiny zapomneni), Fever of Unknown Origin / Master and Faust (Horecnaty stav nejasneho puvodu / Mistr a Faust) and Smoker's Pulmonary Disease / I've probably got it by the wrong end (Kuracka plicni nemoc / Asi jsem to chytil za spatnej konec) directed by Vaclav Dvorak, Drahomira Vihanova a Vlastimil Simunek. The International Jury appreciated "an interesting combination of scientific and medical knowledge with individual stories of patients and their close relatives." Nowadays the Diagnosis series is created for Czech Television by the Herafilm company owned by Jaromir Herskovic.
